What Are Attestations?
An Attestation consists of a statement and proof of that statement. Through Attestation, users or project parties can generate statements about any event, and any third party can verify the correctness of these statements. Attestation breaks down data silos, building a more transparent, trustworthy, and data-sharing world.
What is BAS?
BNB Attestation Service (BAS) is a standard and platform where anyone can make attestations for anything. BAS provides two attestation modes: Onchain: Attestations are recorded on-chain, publicly accessible to anyone. Offchain: Attestations are stored in Greenfield, allowing users to control access permissions for attestations.
Why We Use BAS
The real world operates on trust. Governments, businesses, families, and personal interactions all depend on it. BAS offers a system to rebuild trust in today's decentralized, internet-driven environment, moving beyond traditional centralized endorsements and geographical limitations.
Current data trading market is more based on the creator economy principle, where traded items are mostly images, videos, articles, etc. However, BAS may introduce a new decentralized data trading model. The traded data consists of users' personal behavior data, including attention, social reputation, behavioral information, etc.
What you have & what you have done defines what you are. Users can generate attestations of their data from different applications to build their own reputation proof which construct a verifiable reputation system supporting for Airdrop, Defi, Credit score system, etc.
